Leo and Jack's

Tasked with renovating and extending a prominent mid-terrace Victorian home, our focus centred around ordering the previously disjointed spaces across ground and lower ground to provide a connection the garden and space for the family to enjoy togetherness.

Through a comprehensive refurbishment and extension of the 19th-century townhouse, the lower ground floor has been transformed into a primary living space, featuring a garden-facing kitchen and dining area. A skylight and custom French doors maximize natural light and garden access. This open-plan kitchen and dining room combines the historical charm of the original building with contemporary design, and serves as a functional and inviting heart of the home. By removing previous internal walls and creating an open transition between kitchen and dining, the space is bathed in light from both directions, creating an ideal setting for family moments and entertaining guests alike.

A bespoke timber stair was carved through a newly created double height space connecting upper and lower ground floors. Two stacked window openings were connected to create a 4m tall sash window overlooking the garden.

The upper ground design retained and restored original Victorian features to create a warm open-plan lounge area that blends historical charm with contemporary comfort.

On the first floor, the master suite takes precedence with full height built-in wardrobes and a garden-view ensuite with a marble-clad bath, double walk-in shower, and a bespoke floating vanity console.

In this contemporary home, every room has a unique story to tell. Expert craftsmanship combines with tasteful material choices such as exposed timber, veined marble, and delicate metalwork to create a timeless and elegant ambiance. Modern finishes and a thoughtfully selected colour scheme bring sophistication and charm to a home that prioritizes both comfort and style.
