We are excited to be working with emerging wellness concept brand, The Dynamic Yoga Co to develop proposals for their flagship studios in the heart of Manchester’s thriving Canal Street.

Rich in history and character, the building occupies7,233 sq ft of over three floors. Deigns retain the heritage assets of most value, focussing on restoring the exposed brickwork, beams, cast iron pillars and grand carved doorway, designed by original tenant Michael Nairn & Co as a tribute to the company’s Scottish heritage – and the Stuart Scottish royal family’s coat of arms.

Following an original refurbishment by architects R2 the new community focussed space was conceived as a tranquil retreat in the heart of the busy city. The building will host hot Yoga, Pilates and Barre classes – as well as a social hub, health food kitchen, and flexible events space, with the competing needs of the programme resolved in a flexible approach toward the creation of an urban refuge, a social space which encourages users to engage with all aspects of the holistic wellbeing experience.

While the space is centred around a health and wellbeing hub, the spaces combine to provide a thriving and eclectic environment that gives back to the community with workshops, work experience opportunities and a range of other inclusive initiatives
